I'm sorry noy to have replied to you before, but I have been away for a few days, and your posts were not visible to me on this thread when I replied to britpic. This has happened before and I have contacted the administrator about it, but so far have not received any reply, I am also getting messages to say that I have followed an invalid thread when I log in, so I will have to try sending them another message.
I will certainly advise you of the final price Ivan, but I must decline your offer Rob!

Hi Ivan and all,
I thought that I would let you know that the second pattern F S Knife was withdrawn on the morning of sale and I was outbid on the third pattern. I bid up to £170 but it went for £180. If I would have bid again I would have had to have gone to £190 hammer, which with fees would be £235, which I thought was a bit much.

Shame about the 2nd Pattern Peter, perhaps the owner had a good offer which encouraged its withdrawal. £235 would have been too much for the 3rd Pattern IMO, so do not feel bad that you lost it, there will be other opportunities. Regards, Clive.
