Hi Guys, the other week I mentioned in a thread about a deal Lez and I were doing concerning a named group of uniforms to an ATS Officer. Well, the deal is now done and we have the uniforms in our collection. It is possibly the most complete group I have ever come across.
This Officer was actually a Lady of the British nobility and held the title "Lady Marjorie, Countess of Brecknock". Her rank was eventally that of Major.
She began her military career in the FANY in the late 1930's. She was also Lady in Waiting to the Duchess of Kent and grew up with Lord Mountbatten's wife who was a lifelong friend (more on this later).
I will start with her caps, as I have yet to photograph all her other items
Cheers, Ade.
