Does anyone have a second world war LER battledress tunic in their collection that they can share photos of? I am in the process of doing a deal with another collector for a badged tunic and would love to see some other examples with which to compare.

Me too. It sure looks like a good tunic but there are so many "made up" tunics out there these days that I really have to take my time and inspect it well before completing the deal. The other tunics I hope to find someday are a PPCLI and 1CPB. Someday......

Thanks Geoff. I feel pretty comfortable that the tunic is good and I guess my wording here might have made it sound as if I was in doubt. Actually, I'm just pumped about my new acquisition and would like to see other examples and compare. My first exposure to the military was as a rifleman with the LER and so I've always had an interest in the unit.

Well, I just got back from the LER museum and was able to confirm that the owner of this tunic was indeed a member of the regiment at the end of WW2. It's always nice to confirm my feelings so that I know that I'm doing something right.
