    British Occupation Cap Badge?

Was not sure where to post this badge so thought would try here.

This is what the owner sent me.

Hi found out a little more from dad yesterday and he sent a photo attached. Grandad was actually in central Germany in the Black Forest operating the radar unit and guiding Bristish bombers onto German targets. He was captured and then freed by Americans. At this time of escape they stumbled across the factory. The samples they took again were said to be for a German occupying force in England when they won the war.

If it is for the British it could be a very good piece or is it a common Belgian or Dutch sort of cap badge which was my original thought?

    It does have three lions?

that's what I thought ,she's just a young girl trying to find out for her grandfather so she wasn't trying to rip any one off , I'll break the news to her gently.
