    LRDG Badge

    Wondered if I could enlist your thoughts on this badge, came from a good source but that means nothing these days, many thanks, Paul

    Not one I'd own if your wanting an original WW2 issued badge. Typically this style of LRDG badge is a post war LRDG Association reunion badge made in the 1970's and I would only buy it if it had verteran association provenance. If you look at the many examples ( copies ) availble on eBay, they are all based on this particular style. Search the threads on the forum to see some genuine examples.

        The first LRDG badges of this pattern were cast and have flat backs, following issue badges were stamped (most common) and have a dent behind the scorpian.
        The badge pictured above is a repro cast badge that has been made from the mould of a stamped badge.
