Hi,
Here is my new British ribbon bar. It came with the name - Vice Admiral P. King Enright. I got it with the German catalog page, what listed up more of his stuff and this ribbon bar was part of the lot.
I did quick research on internet and can this combination belonged to:
Name
ENRIGHT, Sir Philip King (1894-1960), Admiral
Service biography
Capt, HMS GRIMSBY 1937-1939; World War II 1939-1945; Capt, HMS CARDIFF 1939-1941; Capt of Fleet, Mediterranean 1942-1944; Capt, HMS CUMBERLAND 1944-1946; Noble Committee on Warrant Officers 1946-1947; Flag Officer, Training Sqn 1947-1948; Adm Superintendent HM Dockyard Devonport 1950-1953
Like I understand, awards on the ribbon bar are:
- Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
- Knight of the Order of the Bath (KCB) (???)
- 1914-1915 Star
- British War Medal
- Victory Medal
- 1939-45 Star
- Atlantic Star
- Africa Star
- Burma Star
- Defence Medal
- War Medal 1939–1945
Any toughts of this set would be great to hear. Also can anyone locate picture of Sir Enright?
Also what I really like of this set is that the ribbons are smaller size then on regular ribbon bars.
