What is this patch?

I recently found this patch among some of the things I have been sorting through.....packed away years ago. I have never seen one like it among U.S. things, and think it may be either British or Canadian, since I did now and again pick up some British and Canadian things. I posted the photo in the U.S. section and, like me, they didn't think it was U.S.. Can anyone identify it for me, and the period it is from please.

It is Canadian Royal Canadian Artillery 1st Corps and I would say from the material is is WW 11 era.

Thanks a lot Lorrie..........I was sure it wasn't U.S., and pretty sure it was either British or Canadian.

Was it supposed to have a tab above it? Maybe I have it too if so......I will have to check.

It would have a Red 1st Division Patch above the Patch.
