    P.I.A.T. pics............

    Hello Gents,

I've taken some pics of my Projectile,Infantry, Anti-Tank for your persusal (and I may put it up for sale). I'm not sure if it's classified as C&R in the States, so it'll probably be just for sale up here (where it's deemed a "non-firearm", and no paperwork required).

Some pics show it as a brown finish, but that's the sunlight. It's actually olive drab, and original (complete with cosmoline grease in annoying amounts).

    Cheers,

    Bill

Looks great! Wish I could find a nice example or one of these.

              Great detailed pics.

I want to make a replica one day, as we can't have them legally Down Under.

The wife must love when you bring that "greasy bloody thing" into the house.

              Cheers, Graham.

A very fine example and would grace any collection Regards, Clive.

                  Thanks Gents,

I've had a few enquiries from fellow Canucks, and I thank you. I'm looking to sell, or part-trade for a Colt Model 1921 Thompson, or a BREN....unfortunately in a DEWAT/ deactivated condition.

There were six men awarded the Victoria Cross for actions involving the use of a PIAT, one of which was a Canadian, "Smokey" Smith.

As for the Cosmoline grease, my future wife hasn't seen the PIAT, yet.

                  Cheers,

                  Bill

Congratulations on the great piece! Yours looks to be in wonderfully shape which is uncommon.

If you take a look at recent examples selling on gunbroker (here in the US) the condition is pretty poor with rust/missing the canvas sleeve, etc.
