Help on a maroon beret and wings

My friends, I had this beret in a box with other field gear. I am not sure how it was acquired. Let me know what you think by my pictures. There doesn't seem to be any writing or id inside. The wings have no markings, maybe solid silver. Thanks, Bill

Fairly sure this is of fairly recent times Bill, just can not recall the country, possibly South Africa or Rhodesia? Regards, Clive.

I agree Iraq is the country of origin.

I brought a similar beret back in 1991 only the capbadge was made from Brass.

Unfortunately I do not have it anymore

Definitely Iraqi, for the beret only, not many references to check for this. There is another thread on this Forum about the Badge. Regards, Clive.
