acquired recently a maroon beret with worn crown lining details. hallmarks of " Kangol " manufacture. only clue are the WD contract details on the side of the lining which have not suffered as much wear. " J " letter. have not come across this letter before so at a loss. anybody out there who can throw the lifeline ?

I know most date letters from the beginning of the war well into the fifties but J is unknown to me.

being a cheapskate I am not fully integrated into the circle so not able to post pics. because the dating of the beret did not fall into the wanted/desired theme of " M's", " N's " and " Z's " it went to pastures new. could have dropped a bollock, but.............................oh, wellComment
