WWII British Officers uniform group

Hi,

I have had this Officers Air Formation Signals grouping for about 10 years now and I was wondering what the current value is. As I haven't been collecting for about 8 years I am a bit out of touch.

The group consists of 2 BDs with period added zips and a dress tunic with trousers. Both the BDs have the makers tags in and are WWII dated, however the jacket and trousers are not dated. One of the BD's also has the officers name in. One of the BD's has printed insignia while the other has woven insignia.

Any comments would be great.

So does no one know what the value of this group might be? I was also wondering does anyone know of a good source where I can research the Capt. J.E.T Knott?

I posted this a long time ago. Does anyone happen to know the value of these? I still have an interest in militaria but I have been out of collecting for about 10 years.

You might want to get in contact with the Royals Signals Museum in Blandford Dorset. They are a really nice collection

No idea on value, love the zipper converted BD and great to see all the insignia still insitu.

My Dad was Signals during 1930's-50's which makes this excellent group to see. Not my collecting field but very nice.

Sorry, I should say, this was the record for 1943 (Royal Corps of Signals). He must have made captain after 1943.

We can see by the ribbons that he has the 39 Star and France and Germany, i just got back that he may be still alive

Thanks guys, that's very helpful. I tried to find out about him a few years back but couldn't find much either. Wow, if he's still alive he must be nesting 100 or so. Definitely too old to try and meet him.

I don't think I'd want to sell desperately as it would be a shame to split them.
