British dispatch rider’s helmet?

Hi,

I recently bought this helmet at an estate sale. It looks like a British dispatch rider’s helmet. However, the liner is not quite the same as the liners in other dispatch rider’s helmets that I have seen. The helmet has a lot of age, but I could not find a date. Can anyone enlighten me as to what I have?

It's a commercial pattern helmet... not WW2 british military.
