Hi folks, im in need of some help here, ive just picked this item up and have been told that perhaps its a private issue medal to a militia man during the america war of revolution, im hopeing that someone here might have an idea as i do not know were else to find info on the item. Always hard to ID and I can honestly say I know near to nothing about these medals.
Looking at the coat of aarm (which is the key to unlocking the mystery), there appears to be two camels and hammer/axes. This would in my opinion suggest something to do with merchants. I am leaning towards this being a Colonial Coat of arms.
