    WW1 Canteen British?

Just got this one today. Is it British or Canadian. The Canadian ones I found on the collectors guild had blue tops.

    Cheers adam

Any broad arrow marks, Adam? The Canadian ones often have the broad arrow inside a capital "C". Tha is an obvious giveaway, which I suspect you know, so probably not, but never hurts to check. ["The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!] Couldn't make much of the "22" stamps from the photo - is there something else above them?

Hi peter no broad arrow marks or any c's. The stamp is a strange one it has been stamped twice. One on top of the other. The bottom one as far as I can see with a mag glass is "T.R Ltd". Then over the top of that blocking the rest of the text is " RFA 322 22 "

I have no idea what any of the means to be honest

              Regards Adam

RFA is Royal Field Artillery! It looks British Great War to me. The number may refer to a battery.

                  Cheers John

If I hadn't just paid out £500 for flights home and bought a few badges I would have kept hold of this.

                  Regards Adam
