WWII British turtle helmet--all original?

Hello forum...

I bought a few helmets yesterday from a guy who walked into a gun show.

Is this helmet 100% original WWII... and what is it worth... more or less.

I want to list it on Estand... and don't want to be accused of pulling something.

I rarely buy helmets other than US, German, and Japanese models.

It is original, but it is a MKIV not the more desirable MKIII. MKIVs were very late war. Yours appears to be 1945 dated - is that correct ?
Value - £30 if war dated.

yes... it has "45" stamped to the side along with some letters.

so... about $50 US?

$50 would be cheap. They often fetch more than that in the USA and Canada for some reason .

Not necessarily, I just got one in about the same condition as the one in this thread for $37 off epay.

My experience a 1945 dated MKIV is well worth more than $50.00 if sold on ebay.

2 prices ranges. EBay and off Ebay.

If you sell it correctly with lots of photos and great discription you could get $50.00 - 100.00 or more. I have seen this.

And that helmet looks like original British paint Not that post war overpainted green or black [Ireland]. And has original khaki tan chinstrap from a MKIII.

True it is not as desirable as a MKIII. But some did make it to the war.
