    help: RAF flight wings,ww2?

hi, I normally post in the japanese section and usually japanese flight gear, so this item is out of my area. was wondering if this is ww2 period. it is hallmarked "anthony" and has what I'm guessing are faux diamonds all over the place (I doubt I could be so luckly for them to be real). is this a sweetheart homefront item? any one know of references to these types of wings?

    thanks in advance.

They look like RCAF sweetheart wings .. They're not pilot wings ..

    Hard to say what vintage.

    All the best ..

It is a WWII to early fifties RCAF sweetheart badge. There was a whole industry supplying these and you will find many different patterns, see:

I've seen a book on the subject, but the name escapes me.

          Pin

I have recently discovered RAF "Sweetheart" pins. I have a few along with my RAF Wings. I would like to know the width of this Beauty. I got started searching for a set of RAF wings that was 3-4 inches wide. Would you have any ideas on a reliable supplier of a set of wings this wide? Thanks for sharing these lovely wings with us! Butch
