Is this combination of medals possible

    Hello

I bought these medals from the vets daughter yesterday. She said they had been stuck away in a draw for years. She has only found them when they were moving house. The only thing she knows about her dad's service was that he was an army medic.

    the combination of medals is

    1. The palestine service medal to 6009886 PTE. J.F.Morgan, Essex regiment
    2. The 1939 to 1945 star
    3. The Burma Star
    4. The Africa Star
    5. The France and Germany Star
    6. The Defence medal
    7. The victory medal.

I believe that they belong with each other. The cardboard box that contained all the WW2 medals came with J.F.Morgan and his address written on the front.

    What does everyone think?

    Regards Adam

Keep hold of the original box very good Provence.

Interesting combination, possible Chindit vet could be 1/Essex Regiment.

Thats what I thought!. If he was navy then it's more understandable. Still I think it's ok.

I do not doubt this combination of medals. Even though the pic is some what fuzzy wuzzy all medals have consistant patination which proves they have been kept together for some time.

In regards to units served, that is easy. As your in contact with the relative compose a letter on her behalf addressed to the Army Records Office, include a cheque for 25, get her to sign the letter. Jobs done....one WW2 service record.

Hope you post back and tell us all about it!
