    WW1 Womens Volunteer Reserve Hat?

Picked this up recently and was wondering if it could be a WVR hat at all?

    Cheers

Could this be a nurses hat for the "Royal Victoria Infirmary" (= R.V.I.) ??

    It's not a W.V.S. hat.

I should correct myselve then as it is then the Royal Cypher for Queen Victoria and should be read as : V.R.I. "Victoria Regina Imperatrix".

This doesn't mean that the hat should be from that era.... I think it's 1920-1930's.

Its a nice hat, I hope your not put off by the fact its is not directly military related. There are collectors for nursing antiques.

Also you may be able to date your hat from a makers name inside. This may be in the form of a label or be printed directly on the surface of the hat.
