Unusual Post-1953 RCAF Pilot Wings

This is not the typical embroidery that you see on the common variety Queen's Crown wing. The threads are much coarser, the crown is completely filled with red, and the backing is paper instead of black cloth.

How old are these and where were they made?

They look fine to me, Tailor made instead of government issued would be my guess
