    Help patches please.

Anyone know what the two embroidered patches are? The one is Navy, but what country and era? The other one I have no idea.
    Thanks for any help.

The naval badge is British or Commonwealth/Empire. So are the two small service badges: the enamelled one is unofficial, I believe, but for WWI and the silver one is the official one.The copper/bronze maple leaves are Canadian WWI. The brass shoulder titles are also WWI Cdn.

The 'MG" is a sleeve badge for a machine gunner - common to Brit & Canada - and the thin gold metal stripes are wound badges (WWI).

      Hi Peter,
Thanks for the help. The embroidered patches are the ones I am stuck on. The navy patch is Commonwealth...possibly Canadian...due to the Maple Leafs? Why does it have the type of crown it has and not the King's crown, I am used to?

Any idea's on the other embroidered patch under the navy one?

Just a guess : the naval badge could be for a Canadian Merchant Navy officer ?
