Burma star

Hello! Posting this for a friend. He has some concerns about authenticity of this Burma Star and asks for some help. Fist of all he was confused about flaws pointed by arrows and the second matter is an absence of patina. What will be thoughts on this?

Hi,

this Burma star I think is ok. I looks to me like a minor difference in manufacture or maybe a cleaned (original 1970's restrike) with slight damage.

Here are three of mine to compare it to of which the second may well be a uncleaned 1970's (original) restrike.

This first one I found at a bazar in Kabul - Afghanistan 2005.

and this 3rd one (notice the slight differences at the left side "G" this last one has the same 'flaw' as yours there.
