    RCAF Cold Weather Fur Hat

An interesting fur hat with quilted lining that belonged to an American pilot who joined the RCAF before the U.S. entered the war and then transferred back to the AAF after Pearl Harbor. He also had flight suits with this maker's mark in them. Not as sexy as other headgear but something out of the ordinary. Was this a common style of winter headwear in the great white north? More pictures follow.

Dad still has one just like it.

This one is in good shape. IT is Musk-rat fur if I am not mistaken.

OMG! you are lucky! I've been looking for one of those forever! They were very common headgear for RCAF officers, but one doesn't see them come up for sale too often. Nice score!
