    British Paratrooper Pants

Does anyone know which war department markings were in these trousers? On previous threads I have seen "S" W Broad Arrow D. I have also seen "O" W Broad Arrow D. Maybe there were no standard markings.

    Thanks.

    Hey Bill,

I believe just like anything else that is W^D marked the markings differ depending on year of manufacture, batch number etc etc

    Thanks

      Hi!

As Jack said, markings differ according to date and batch number. "S", "O", as well as other letters ("Z", "N", "P" etc.) stand for the year of manufacture. For example N stands for 1943. So, according to that, you don't have "standard" markings in that sense, but the combination of the markings is a "standard" marking system itself.

      Cheers, Giorgos
