Guys
I just found a Mk 2 helmet with what appears to have its original helmet net attatched .
The helmet its self came from a flea market in SanFrancisco .
A military picker from the bay area found it last week for $20 ,he charged me $70 which I thought was real fair .
It is marked LL roman #2 HBI1939.
Liner is Jager - Rand crows foot 1940.
The net is quite thick but the string is not a long one but has only a very small knot securing it quite tight .
It has 6 hessian cammo pieces .
Helmets are not my field in a million years but it has the look of being on for ever .
Is this factory applied or done on an individual basis ?
The chin strap is elastic type .
Any ideas guys , I am in the dusk about these things .
Sorry no pictures at the moment as my camera has taken a burton .
