      Nicely stamped. The company is still in business. They have been in business since 1889.

      I found a picture dated 1900 of a man wearing a cap that looks a lot like this one.

            Hi Kirby,

            A very nice lid.

            The lable says they were suppliers to the late King George V.
            This would date your hat between 1936 to 1941.

              Nice side cap; I have one that is virtually identical. I was in Herbert Johnson's store in London back in 1976, where I acquired my first peaked cap, an officer's of the Queen's Own Hussars, which I still have. Memory fades, but I believe I paid 10 pounds ( it was used.) The caps on their website are now a bit more expensive!
