What are these packs for?

Hey guys,
These are two items that were given to me this week. The first one is huge, I have pictured it with a large pack to establish scale. I am not even sure if it's Commonwealth or what it was used for. Anyone know anything about it?

This one here I think is a case for a bed roll. Can anyone confirm my thoughts or shed some light on what it is?

Ok, I am certain the second one is a bedroll pack. The first one still has me stumped. I went back through the stuff and found some straps made from the same leather with same rivets and buckle hardware.
I am posting some pics of them to see if anyone can help ID this or has any idea's at all. Maybe something the guy made himself after the war???
