help to id silver medal

Anyone know what this silver medal maybe? the only thing I know is the hallmark year is 1929

"Evil be to him who evil thinks"

The motto appears to be "Evil be to him who evil thinks" which is shared by the Order of the Garter and the Royal Regiment of Canada. Sweetheart badge?

Or a large-ish watch fob?

The motto is common to many units.

It resembles other regimental and battalion sports/competition medals, and similar that are often engraved with additional details on the reverese: recipient, date, etc.

I would guess that it is something unofficial along these lines.

The grafted (?) Yorkshire rose and Scottish thistle may be a clue....
