WWI British Helmet Cover - PPCLI

I obtained this in a WWI lot of Yankee Division items including 3 painted Yankee Division helmets and dozens of other items including crusher caps and uniforms. Let me know what you think. I have no idea what it is worth because I cannot find any pictures or information on the web. I found a forum where someone said they were "as rare as a horned leopard" -- meaning they didn't exist. Others quickly chirped in to tell him he was wrong. Here is my example:

I've got it displayed on a British Mark I helmet as it won't fit on a doughboy helmet.

The cover is correct (see mine below for comparison). I cannot say about the PPCLI badge; the bright green thread looks a little modern for my taste.

More of the headgear from the lot

On top of this I got 2 USMC Dress Uniforms, 1 WAC Nurses Dress Uniform, Major Brown's doughboy uniform with the insignia missing, 1930's Wool Dress Uniform, 2 chocolate uniforms and a khaki uniform. Quite the pickup. One of the infantry helmets has the names of the battles around the inner front visor. There are two crusher caps (OD and Khaki) and a visor cap (middle OD). The left OD visor cap is a Bankcroft Flighter in mint condition. The middle cap was manufactured in Worcester, MA - my home town. The khaki crusher has no labels of any kind. The last two pictures I need help identifying. I have no idea what it was. It was in the bottom of the WWI dungaree duffel bag with the helmet cover and a WWI pistol belt.

That item looks like a canvas breech cover.

            All the best, Gareth

Judging by the snaps that breech cover is of First World War vintage. Not too damaged and with what looks like the original leather strap.
