military knife ?

i have been offered this knife, now the seller tells me he thinks the handle maybe bone/horn, no idea as to age but does have age, any ideas ?? cheers Dave

Nice knife. I have seen similar ones before. The mark will most likely be a retailers stamp. Not issue of course, but a private purchase item.
