Interesting item for stacking Lee Enfield's

I recently bought this item and have never seen one before. It is a leather strap with 12 loops which, I am told, buckled aroung the centre pole of a bell tent and allowed the occupants to stack their rifles neatly around the pole. It is broad arrow marked and dated 1944 with maker's stamp.

If anyone can add to this description that would be great.

I think you have said it all in your description, I have also seen similar items with brass 'coat hooks' to hang clothing from.

They are usually referred to as rifle racks.
