        I'd agree, a Full Dress Uniform, and three gold full bars (dress) would be a Wing Commander (equivelant rank in the British Army would be a Lt. Colonel)

        Troy101, we don't have General's in the RAF, a quick Google search will bring up the ranks of that mob.

          A very nice tunic indeed. Introduced in 1920 and mothballed per se towards the start of the Second war and never brought back. Although the modern RAF bandsman wears a similar style dress.

          Is the tunic named?

            I agree with what has been said. A very nice Dress uniform of a Wing Commander....one that anyone would be proud to have in their collection!
