Walter Wemm Military Medal

Hi guys does anyone have any information on Walter Wemm. He won the Military Medal at Dunkirk. He was/ maybe still is, my grandads cousin on his mothers side of the family. My grandad has been talking about him a lot over the last few weeks. He cant remember if he was army or navy or his regiment

There may not be a gallantry record card. The medals for gallantry at Dunkirk were awarded but sadly some officers were more careful than others when it came to preserving the citation on the trip back to blighty. Probably the most frustrating time frame to collect WW2 gallantry medals.

Although in this instance I think you have the incorrect spelling, as there are no Wemm's in the London Gazette.
