Great Canadian group just sold on Ebay

This great Canadian group just sold on e-bay for a very reasonable price...
I could not participate in the bidding because I was not available when it closed and its not a good time for me to buy right now unfortunately...
Did a WAF member score this? Hope it all stays together!

Here some images for prosperity before the auction disappears permanently!
All this sold for just under $400! I would have thought it would bring double that
so I did not bother bidding...

                    Captain rank.
I guess he transferred from Highlanders Regiment to RCAPC...
                    Perhaps after getting wounded?

The officer and his service medals.
(Collar insignia appear to be RCAPC, so portrait taken after transfer from
                          Scottish Highlanders Reg...)

Congratulations to the winning bidder. I am very jealous!

The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada...not the Canadian Scottish Highlanders Regiment.

A nice set of uniforms and medals. I collect to the regiment but not very interested in uniforms, and with no named medals or original paperwork it had limited appeal to me.

I would guess this fellow was the paymaster for the regiment at some point, or did remuster to the RCAPC after serving as an infantry officer. His medal combination indicates late war overseas service 1944/45 only.

                            Wish there was a name...

Thanks for the correction...Royal Highland and Scottish Highlander mix up...
The auction was not totally clear on this...and these Canadian regiments can be confusing for non-Canadians...
The RHR is still considered a Scottish Regiment if I'm not mistaken, this based on the cut of the dress tunic.
Wish I had participated in this auction...I am a uniform collector (for the most part)
