Canadian 24 hour ration

Does anyone have information on the WWII Canadian Army 24 Hour Ration? I have seen a small, sturdy, off-white, box marked in large letters CANADIAN ARMY 24 HOUR RATION, on the side in smaller letters it reads Packaged by WM. Wrigley Jr. Co., Ltd. Toronto Canada 1943. It fits perfectly into a WWII mess tin. I would love to get some background on this ration. I've seen the British 24hr. ration before but never this type.
