Royal Army Service Corps insignia question

I am in the process of purchasing a Lend-Lease US made (war aid) battle dress blouse from a Captain in the Royal Indian Army Service Corps, (RIASC)who served in Italy.
(it will come with the officer's portrait picture even...not yet in my possession)

Here's the question:
Would a British RASC officer assigned to the RIASC, wearing RIASC flashes on his BD
strictly wear the Indian version of this beret insignia (RIASC), like this metal lndian example?

Or is it possible for him (personal preference or obtainability issue) to wear instead
a standard British RASC version?

Here's an austerity pattern plastic British RASC beret badge which I own...
Is that combination a possibility on a RIASC badged uniform (worn in Italy)?

I am working on an impression, wanting to know if this combination is accurate,
(assuming an officer would even wear a plastic quality badge)

As far as I am aware, many British officers were employed directly by the Indian Army and as such should wear Indian insignia although there are exceptions to the rule. I think the RIASC cap badge would be more in keeping and shouldn't be too hard to find. As regards the 'plastic' badge, generally not liked but often seen in the field and I have encountered officers caps with them on too.
