    Airborne Recognition scarf.

I have just got hold of this scarf of a mate. He got it with some armoured corps badges. I know a little about it but would love to see other original examples. Cheers.

            Ceylanese Triangle

A nice example of British issue Ceylonese Triangle. These were given to all front line troops, not just airborne and may have come with the armoured badges mentioned.

Please beware this piece of kit is replicated.

Hello Luc. Are you saying that this scarf is a copy or that this type of scarf is reproduced?

                  Yep

Yes ... copies are available on the market.
I think Soldier of fortune are the main supplier to re-enactors.

.. And type in scarf !

                    pegasusmilitaria.com makes replicas too.
I don't have an original one so I can't say for sure yours is good or not.

I had this example to hand, it also has no markings that I can see. I think it is an original, but would not be sure, though it certainly does have age to it. Regards, Clive.

Both are different from my 1941 courtaulds scarf and from other courtauld made ecsamples I have seen. But was courtald the only manufacturer?I have seen others but am not sure of there originallity. As these are reproduced in the past and today I would not touch one that is unmarked. But all this does not mean these are not ww2,sadly the opposit is also treu.

                            D.T.Co was another manufacturer.

I know, I owned one of these but never was sure it was a genuine piece.
