RAF 25 Ptn Carrier, magazine, pistol

Hello all,

I was wondering who else owns an RAF 25 Ptn pistol magazine pouch?

I have only ever come across 2, one dated 1926 (mint) and one dated 1930 (slightly blancoed) both made by MEco, both these I have subseqently been able to secure for my own collection.

Just interested in who else owns one and if so what date and maker? I know there are a few in mint conditon but unissued and undated from the M.W.Wright & Sons factory.

I have the large pack with the fixed L straps on it, never found the smaller pack for the bottom

but no pistol holster this way sorry mate

Hi Danny,

I saw one on ebay a few years ago. It was 1937 dated and made by MECo. I don't have an RAF one but do have 2 examples of the Army version in my collection.

RAF 25 Ptn is getting hard to get! I have the upper pack but like you Luc I'm missing the lower pack

This may be the one Danny that came off eBay. I have two others, but Army issued. I had not noticed before that someone etched thier name on the base of one of the Mags. regards, Clive.

I take it you were the lucky bidder Very interesting to see the mags with the etched name! Are they .455 mags? Or possibly a PP side arm?

If some of you guys have interest in a complete rig with RAF gray colored magazine pouch, Colt holster, cross strap and belt I have one for trade. Im looking for a kahki colored and war dated magazine pouch of same style.........

Here are some photos of the complete pistol rig I have. Its never been blancoed or modified. All parts are MeCo 1926 marked with medium size belt. Comes with one original 455 magazine two toned color. This comes from the estate of a norwegian RNAF officer who served in London during the WW2.
