    Water carrier

    Hi all!

I have had this water carrier for a while in my collection. Judging from my reference, it was a piece of British jungle kit. I have recently seen a US 1942 marked example though. Was the original idea for that equipment piece a Commonwealth one, copied by the US or vice versa?

Does anyone have any info about the markings, too? A.A. /|\ Thanks in advance!

    Cheers, Giorgos

      Hi
Used by British & Commonwealth troops in many hot places, I have seen pics of them in India and Burma, also in North Africa. I think the design originates from a commercial pattern used on expeditions.

Hi Lee, thanks for the info!

So, maybe it was the US who copied the idea then or maybe just used Commonwealth examples...

        Cheers, Giorgos
