A quite unusual Home Guard item, made from hessian and camouflaged. It came with some other Home Guard items some years ago, but I have since managed to mix the groupings up, so uncertain who it belonged to. I doubt that many such items survive, though probably not unique there can not be too many about. One odd feature is the opening on the chest, assume for some form of access, sewn at each end for strength. If anyone has seen something similar or knows anything about them I will be most interested. Clive.

Thank you for the positive comments guys. It is in good shape for its age and has been kept out of any daylight for a long time, until I took the pictures last weekend, hence the vivid colours.
