    British helmet dated 1937

    Hello,
Can anyone help with this helmet. It is a barnfind from De Panne and this was the last town defented by the BEF in may 1940.
The liner is marked 7 ½ HELMETS Ltd I 1937 and a circle with the crowsfood and 536.
The Shell is FS129. I fond this back as the manufacture Thomas Firth & Sons Ltd. (Sheffield).
I did not cleaned the helmet yet, only a small surface with WD40 and a nice green Apple colour comes out.
I see no evidence of a rim ! Could this be a WW1 shell they used with a liner dated 1937 ?
Does someone knows more about hemets used in the 1930 our let’s say pre 1940 ?

Hi, many helmets dating from WW1 were fitted with new liners in the 1930's, quite common to see BEF wearing WW1 type shells so a good find from early WW2.
