WWI Canadian cap badges?

Hello forum...

Is this stuff Canadian, and from WWI, or II... or both?

Is this stuff worth pursuing... or... are badges more or less worthless?

Definitely worth the effort, there are some nice badges in there.

All WWII or later - the Firts War stuff is often very different from the pre and post war and usually has "CEF" somewher on the badge and the Battalion number

The medal in the lower right of shot looks interesting. Any chance you can post a close-up of that?

BTW, I'd guess you'd have little trouble selling this lot at $20.00+ per badge, with some worth more.

I don't normally help dealers, but I disagree with the comments so far.

With a couple of exceptions, you'd be lucky to get $5 a pop for these, they are all very common. A couple are worth slightly more.

I am sorry, this is the only photo I have so far.

Back in 1986, I stopped at a surplus store in Winnipeg that had hundreds, and hundreds of cap badges arranged in prices from $5 to $10 each.

There were so many... I just gave up... and walked away. That is why I assume this stuff is so common and inexpensive.

I'll likely make an offer of $125 to $150 for the lot. I bought a helmet from them, and they found this stuff a month later.

As said, most of these are common WW2 Canadian Cap badges....worth around $8.00 to $12.00 each....a couple would run alittle higher. The medal is an American Legion Convention medal (as you probably know) worth even less than the cap badges.....

If you got a good deal on the helmet.....then you could pay "higher" for these....personally if for resale, I wouldn't pay over $75.00 for the lot, and that assumes all have intact lugs & cotter pins....

I agree with Peter Monahan's comments more than maine militaria. There are 3 $40+ ($CDN) badges in there, depending on the shape and the day you list them (but 2 of them look in excellent shape). A couple of $20 badges and a $20-$30 badge as well. If you don't want them, I'd happily pay $125 for the lot.
