I picked this up in a lot recently and can't identify it. Bouchery shows a similar badge in brass in his book and identifies it to the 2nd Battalion Monmouthsire regiment but mine differs slightly. Can someone (Steve perhaps?) help positively identify it for me. The quality and details are excellent (it also has a hallmark stamp on the rear). Thanks in advance.

Whats the size of the Badge?
the large size of the lugs let me think that's an Officers (wearers left side) Collar Dog for the No.1 Uniform of the Buffs ( Royal East Kent Regiment).
2nd Royal Monmouthshire has a totally different Type of Dragon.

Yes, looks like a collar badge for The Buffs, ealier ones are hallmarked like this, I can't make out the letters on the pic but you can date it from this. I think some officers wore this as a badge on the coloured side cap.
