Anyone know of existance of POW lists?

I have a couple of German prison POW id tags..
that belogned to either British or Polish POWs
and was wondering if there are any lists to be able to id the owners..

The only idea I have and would try in this case is to contact the Bundesarchiv in Berlin. All the Military files are at former US Army Andrews Bks. ex. Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler.
