Absolutely stunning! A lucky group to find, I love it. It looks like he was also promoted to Flying Officer at some point?

Looks like his final rank was F/O or Flying Officer which one would expect as he was a Navigator most if not all were promoted by war end.

Some cool stuff in there. The song is a real gem you might want to check with the Aussie war museum to see if they have that one of file??

Lots of nice 'chits' in that one.

Any old Raf, Raaf or Rcaf had would tell you that you that they spent most of the war dealing with 'chits' of one form or another.

I think your right that squadron served in all the areas he appears to have been in at one time or other. The Mediterranean Service would explain the Spanish language booklet.
thanks for the comments Im now glad I bought the lot.
                    cheers Robert

I checked the AWM, no viewable service record, although you can order it. Here's your chap:

No Gallantry awards, so he's a little harder to track, but at least it's a start!

Mike thanks for that information. I guess the old chap has passed away recently and his family put his memories up for auction they were in an envelope marked old stuff. Its funny the things one keeps for decades only to have them thrown out by a family member. Rather sad. Of course theres the monetary attraction. In this case it wasnt much.
                        cheers Robert
