    WW1 Canadian cap insignia?

    Gents

Can someone confirm this particular piece. Is this a WW1 item and if so is it EM or officer? I am assuming it is for artillery troops?

    Kind regards

    Jeremy

This is a British (Imperial) Royal Artillery badge, with a Canada scroll applied over top. Period done to produce a "Canadian" artillery badge. You can see the reverse reads "UBIQUE" as per the Imperial issues.

          WWI vintage, O/R badge.

That is a very nice and unusual badge! It is for EM (OR's in British parlance) and is most likely ww1 issue with the seperate wheel, but could also have been worn into ww2 as well.
It has a reinforcement wire not commonly seen on these badges either. It also has the bent back scroll and indented slider that soldiers usually did to their badges for better look and fit on the service dress cap (visor cap).
