Perhaps you are surprised to hear that there is a red on khaki drill glider trained infantry patch as well. Apparently the army was inspired by the RAF practice.

The Norwegians are some of my rarest brevets, include their officer's silver sidecap badge, Pilot wing, Airgunner's wing, and some sort of Naval Officer's insignia. Yes I know the other cap badge is Belgian, I'm still searching for the Peaked cap badge. The item on the right is an old 1943 "Little Norway" Matchbook that was made in toronto, and sold on the base. It has a Naval Pilot's wing embossed in silver on it

Mike, the Belgian badge is the peaked cap badge and is also post war.

Thanks Gunther, I was unsure of the time period. I'm still looking for the Norwegian peaked cap badge to go with this set. Had nowhere for the Belgian one, so it found a home in there for now. Glad to see this thread is back to the top, I guess I'll start posting on it again! Will show all of my new acquisitions etc....Man collecting militaria is fun!

Collecting militarian is indeed fun. You have a nice collection there Mike, forgot to tell you that.

Belgian peaked caps badges do exist pre-war but are unfortunately very hard to find. I've never seen them sold as individual. During the war they had of course the RAF peaked cap.

          Cheers,
          Günther

Very nice collection BTW, wouldn't it be more appropriate to store an air force collection in a hangar as opposed to a bunker?
