Yes it is Robert, but not referred to as a slouch hat due to not being able to clip the left side up. They are officially called Hat Fur Felt or affectionately as an "Akubra" (even though not all are made by this firm).
This example is worn by sailors up to the rank of Leading Seaman (Corporal equivalent). PO's, CPO's, WO's and Officers all have different badges to the basic example on this hat.

Thanks Mark for your quick response, I didnt think it was a Slouch Hat per se but I didnt know how else to describe it. At least its real and displays well.

In which order of dress would this be worn? I would've thought it'd be a choice of AUSPT bush hats, berets or the more familiar rating's cap?
