Help On Some Medals

I have researched and found some history about and under what criteria these fine medals were issued. However I can not find anything that would help me put a value on them. To be very upfront with all of you I got them with some TR items that I needed, and I am going to be selling these to help pay for them. I will put them on the e-stand and sell them here to a forum member.

I do not like to ask these kinds of questions here on the forum but I can not find any other sights that had these for sale to compare them to.

They all appear to be authentic from the comparasins that I have made to other pictures

There is no writing or engraving around the edges of the three medals

The ring on the top of the stars is of the teardrop type found on originals

The pins are of the brooch style found on US ww2 medals

Hi Frank,

That's not the Atlantic Star. That is the 1939-1945 Star.

I find these medals aren't as sought after in the USA, but in the UK and the Commonwealth, stars are $30-$200 (rare ones like the Aircrew Star are more; the Africa Star would be in the midrange). I don't know about the India Medal, but the other service medals are in the $30 range as well.

These are all common British WWII medals. They are easily found on most UK/Commonwealth dealers sites. Prices currently asked by a major UK dealer as follows:

439. <b><big>1939-45 Star </big></b> Un-named as issued (NEF) £10
440. <b><big>Atlantic Star </big></b> (VF) £28

442. <b><big>Pacific Star. </big></b> (NEF) £30
443. <b><big>France & Germany Star </big></b> (GVF) £18
444. <b><big>Burma Star </big></b> (NEF) £18
445. <b><big>Defence Medal </big></b> (NEF) £13
446. <b><big>War Medal 1939-45 </big></b>£10
447. <b><big>Canadian Volunteers Service Medal. </big></b> No Bar. Un-named as issued. (EF) £20
448. <big>Canadian Volunteers Service Medal. </big> With ‘Overseas’ Bar. (EF) £25
449. <b><big>India Service Medal. </big></b> Un-named. (NEF) £10

The prices above are in pounds sterling.

This would be at the high end of the spectrum, they can be found on ebay, and elsewhere somewhat cheaper (if you look around).
