    Regimental markings on 1899 bayonet

Few weeks ago I bought nice 1887 pattern bayonet, in brass finished scabbard. However I have problem to identify markings, I think regimental.
Markings are CH&SF plus date 1899, arrow looks as Indian (but I is not clearly stamped).
I was trying to identify CH&SF regiment, but unsuccesfully, maybe you could help me to find more about this bayonet.

Mietek, I would have to go through my book "the broad arrow" by Ian Skennerton. Allow me some time and I'll see what I can dig up.

Looking at the photo of the marking I would say that it looks like a manufacturers marking rather than a regimental.

The & is what makes me think this way - not common in a regimental.

It is possible, while bayonet was made by Wilkinson, scabbard could be made somewhere else.
