    Unidentified commando dagger

    Hi everyone

Can anyone tell what this is? Its 22 cm long. - it does share some resemblence to the Fairbairn-Sykes dagger so figured that I'll post it here.

          Nope

Nope not a flachette .... it wouldn't have the knurling on it ..

looks to be a specialist concealed stilleto dagger ..

.. A quick search under SOE daggers turned this up ..

          http://www.britishblades.com/forums/...ad.php?t=18194

          There's a distinct likeness ..

This is a OSS/SOE Sleeve Dagger, they have been copied so unsure if it is an original piece. Regards, Clive.

I would tend to agree with Clive. But my knowledge of these type of things is limited.

              Cheers, Ade.

                  Google

Basic google searches turned up various references to modern copies and original examples ....

Even "Snyders treasures" sold one !! (whether an orignal or not )

It is difficult to say if it’s genuine or not without holding it in my hand. (I have some doubts about Snyders.)
                        Here are some genuine knives.
